Thiago Alckmin

I am a second year Economics PhD student at Kellogg, Northwestern University. You can find me in the Managerial Economics & Strategy departments.

I am interested in topics within Healthcare, Industrial Organization and Organizational Economics. My priorities lie in projects with clear policy relevant questions.

I graduated with Honors in Economics and a minor in Statistics from The University of Chicago (BA 2020) and hold a Masters from Northwestern University (MA 2026).

Prior to the PhD, I worked as a research assistant at UChicago (BFI & Booth), Northwestern (Kellogg), Columbia (SIPA) on applied microeconomics projects [Experimental, Labor, Political, Behavioral and Environmental]. Between academic research positions, I was a quantitative analyst for a hedge fund [Rio Bravo Sistemático] and credit policy intern at a large bank in Brazil [Itaú Unibanco].
